Samsung Galaxy Note runs on the Android 2.3.5 the Gingerbread with the TouchWiz user interface while the Apple iPhone 4S runs on the iOS5. The display screen of the Samsung Galaxy Note is about 5.3inch with Super High Definition AMOLED (Active Matrix) OLED capacitive touch screen with WXGA that is 800×1280 pixels of resolution with the pressure sensitive stylus and it’s pixel density is 285ppi. The Digital S Pen technology has ensured for experiencing accurate hand writing. While the Apple iPhone 4S has 4inch edge to edge display having 3.5 inches for the retina display screen with range 960×640 pixels and it’s density 326ppi.
The processor of the Galaxy Note is a dual core 1.4GHz (U.S. Version has 1.5 GHz SnapDragon) ARM Exynos processor coupled with the Mali400MP GPU and of the iPhone 4S is 1.2GHz dual-core processor. Samsung Galaxy Note has 8MP rear camera with the LED Flash, records 1080pHD and 2MP front camera for the video recording calls. But in the iPhone it has VGA front camera and 8MP rear camera made up by Sony and Omni vision with 720pHD for video calls. Considering the life span of the Batteries the Samsung Galaxy Note got standard battery with Li-on 2500mAh while the iPhone got 1420mAh with talk time period over 7 hours on 3G and of standby time to 300 hours. And the iPhone has introduced it’s own Near Field Communication (NFC) as the Samsung Galaxy Note’s NFC support is an optional. It’s capability enables the device to be used as mode for the electronic payments, E wallet applications.
Certain features of iPhone 4S are supports 4G-LTE network, also Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR and 3G HSDPA/ GPRS/ EDGE connectivity and has more storage capacity with the enhanced You Tube player and G mail mail client specially. Has Multi finger gestures with the USB Tethering for internet and personal hot spot. It becomes mobile TV due to the release of more apps with the TV and Content Providers. Also in the Samsung Galaxy Note has the document editor on board allowing to do all the serious work and other useful applications and their features which includes Email, Push Email, Predictive text input, Samsung Chat On, YouTube Client and Flash support. The Galaxy Note device supports 4G-LTE, HSPA+, Bluetooth 3.0 and Wi-Fi connectivity. The USB-on-the go support and Micro USB support is also available in the Samsung Galaxy Note. The flash storage for these devices are equally pitched offering about a choice of 16GB or 32GB. Since the Samsung Galaxy Note has a fast processor, high resolution screen, more system memory with better cameras and better connectivity it is said the best compared to the iPhone 4S smart phones.
