Becks has been praising his friend Tom, who of course is going through a messy split from Katie Holmes. Gentlemanly David has said he thinks Cruise is a ''really good person'' and a ''great dad''.
The family men struck up a friendship when Becks and his family first moved to LA in 2007. Short of friends on the other side of the pond, the two A-list families quickly became close and Beckham has revealed he still spends plenty of time with the Hollywood star. Talking to Esquire magazine:
''Do I ride my bikes with Tom? Yeah I do. Have we become good friends over the years? Yes, we have become very good friends. It's not a big celebrity thing. It's just something that happened. And it's good to have friends like that."
''He's a really good person. Tom is one of the hardest working people I know. He never stops. He's a great dad and he's got a great family behind him.''
David also spills on his other celeb friends saying Gordon Ramsay can often be found whipping something up in the Beckham kitchen (lucky them!):
''There is a good chance of Gordon being round [our house] cooking a beef Wellington.''
Whilst the Beckhams play happy families with the Ramsays, David's loyalty to Tom could provide a bit of tension in the household as it's rumoured Victoria has been helping Katie Holmes get through the split.
