So, who's hiring in June?


Good news from the British labour market. The outlook has turned positive for the first time in more than a year, according to the latest Labour Market Outlook survey by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Private sector services companies are behind much of the predicted upturn, and almost two thirds of employers plan to hire in the second quarter of 2012. Hiring intentions are strongest in the finance, insurance and real estate sectors as well as the voluntary and not-for-profit sectors.
The following companies are also taking on staff this month.
Cambian Healthcare currently employs approximately 1500 staff who provide intensive psychiatric rehabilitation services for individuals with mental health needs and specialist residential education and care for young people with autistic spectrum disorders. Cambian's hospitals, schools and community-based units are located throughout the UK.
Available positions: Cambian is hiring registered mental health nurses, RNLDs/RMN's and support workers.
IBM is a global business operating in more than 170 countries. At present IBM UK has around 20,000 employees, bringing innovative solutions to a diverse client base to help solve some of their toughest business challenges.
Available positions: The company is looking for talented professionals across all areas of the business for IBM locations across the UK.
Formed in 2002, Tragus is one of the UK's largest independently-owned restaurant operators with more than 285 sites across the country serving more than 21 million meals a year. Its portfolio of leading brands operates as four divisions -- Café Rouge, Strada, Bella Italia, and the Brasseries - with offerings ranging from pizza and pasta to French classics.
Available positions: Tragus is hiring head chefs, sous chefs, assistant managers and managers across all four divisions.
The Betfair group of companies ('Betfair') offers a global portfolio of gambling products and services. This includes the world's leading betting exchange (a concept pioneered by Betfair), which is provided in the UK.
Available positions: Betfair is hiring in its corporate areas, marketing, products and services as well as technology. They are also looking for talented graduates for their graduate programme.
UPS, or United Parcel Service Inc., is the largest express carrier and package delivery company in the world. Every day UPS manages the flow of goods, funds and information in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.
Available positions: UPS is hiring multi-drop drivers and in addition has openings in marketing, HR and sales.
Home Retail Group is the UK's leading home and general merchandise retailer with sales of almost £6bn in the past financial year. It sells products under two distinctive and complementary brands, Argos and Homebase, which combine to serve some 200 million customers every year. Home Retail Group employs approximately 53,000 people.
Available positions: There are openings at Argos and Homebase in buying/merchandising, operations, supply chain or one of the many other departments.
Oracle provides business software and hardware systems to more than 370,000 customers - including 100 of the Fortune 100 - in more than 145 countries. Oracle's 110,000 employees, including 30,000 developers working full-time on its products, are critical to that success.
Available positions: Oracle recruiters are always searching for employees with an entrepreneurial spirit as well as top university graduates, bringing ideas and motivation to the business.
With over 180 stores in the UK, BHS is one of the country's leading high street brands. The company also operates 155 restaurants and cafes within their stores. Currently, BHS is changing the way they look with new store concepts, adding new brands such as Annabel Karmel.
Available positions: BHS has openings for hospitality managers for their restaurants in stores at different locations throughout the UK.
