10 things you can do for better boobs

Eat your way to good health

Multiple research studies have shown that eating certain foods can help to minimize your risk of developing breast cancer. Some foods to add into your diet include yellow/orange fruits and vegetables such as butternut squash as they are packed with antioxidant beta-carotene which has been linked to lowered risk of breast cancer. Flax seeds, walnuts, cranberries and omega-3 fatty acids (found in oily fish, avocados and eggs) have also been linked to reduced risk of breast cancer, while eating foods high in magnesium can help prevent breast swelling and tenderness.

Check your bra size

It is thought that more than 70 per cent of women regularly wear the wrong bra size, yet this can not only lead to significant health problems including poor posture, skin irritation and breathing difficulties, but it can irreversibly damage breast ligaments, leading to breast pain and sagging. Breast size can change frequently over your lifetime due to weight changes, pregnancy or menopause so, rather than guessing your size, make sure you get measured regularly to ensure you are getting the support you need.

Get into the exercise habit

Research has shown that exercising four or more hours a week can lower estrogen levels and reduce risk of breast cancer, while separate studies have suggested that weekly workouts can increase survival in those with the illness. However, exercise is not only good for your health; it can also help to prevent sagging and improve the look of your boobs. While you may think that chest exercises are just for men, working out the pectoral muscles through exercises such as push-ups and bench presses is great for improving the firmness, lift and shape of your breasts.

Get a natural lift

If you long for perkier, uplifted boobs, using a firming cream on your breasts and décolletage can help you to achieve this look. While applying a cream is unlikely to make any significant changes to the overall size or shape of your breasts, by massaging a firming cream regularly into your skin you can help to improve skin elasticity and tone up the area, helping to prevent wrinkles and sagging and improve the overall appearance of your boobs.

Fake a perfect cleavage

If you’re planning to wear a plunging neckline and want to make the most of your cleavage, it is possible to create the appearance of bigger breasts with a little bit of makeup. To cheat your way to a better cleavage, don your favourite bra then lightly dust some matte bronzer between your breasts, blending up and out to create the illusion of shadow. Finish with a lighter, shimmery powder across the top of your boobs and collarbones.

Check your breasts

According to a survey by Breakthrough Breast Cancer, only 35% of women regularly check their breasts for signs of cancer. However, breast cancer is a leading cause of death in women and early diagnosis can rapidly increase chances of survival. Women are advised to get to know their boobs by checking them each month and looking out for changes in size, shape and skin texture, as well as checking for discharge, rashes or lumps. If you are not sure how to go about checking your breasts, visit a reputable website or ask your doctor for tips on performing these necessary checks.

Quit smoking

Smoking has repeatedly been established as a leading cause of many serious illnesses, and breast cancer is no different. A study by researchers at the California Department of Health Services found that the rate of breast cancer amongst women who smoked was around 30% higher than for those who had never smoked. Separate research also suggests that the effects of smoking are cumulative, with risk increasing according to years of cigarette smoking, so stopping smoking now could help cut your risk of developing the illness.

Apply sunscreen

Despite the warnings about skin cancer, many of us are still not applying sunscreen on a regular basis. However, failing to apply sun lotion not only puts the delicate chest area at risk of sunburn and skin cancer, but it can also lead to premature ageing of the skin. To prevent a wrinkly cleavage and help keep your décolletage smooth and taut, make sure to apply a minimum of SPF 15 sunscreen whenever your skin is exposed to the sun.

Wear a sports bra

When we work out, our breasts tend to move about with the movements of our body. Exercising without adequate support (particularly for those with larger breasts) can therefore lead to discomfort and pain, as well as damage to ligaments which can cause breasts to sag. To make sure your boobs are protected from the effects of exercise, make sure you purchase a well-fitting exercise bra which is sturdier than your everyday bra and can help minimize breast movement.

Improve your posture

If you want to give yourself an instant breast lift, the best thing you can do is improve your posture. The chest muscles can lose flexibility when your shoulders are hunched, causing sagging over time. Furthermore, walking with a straighter back will make you boobs look instantly bigger and more pert. Try to pay attention to how you stand and sit throughout the day and consider taking up an exercise that will improve your posture such as yoga, Pilates or Tai Chi.

Food additive altered to suppress hunger

The new ingredient, a modified form of a commonly used food additive, could help people lose weight by making them feel full after eating smaller amounts of food, according to German scientists.
A trial by Dow Wolff Cellulosics, the company behind the product, showed that volunteers who ate food containing the additive consumed 13 per cent fewer calories when given a second meal two hours later.

If further trials prove that it could be of benefit to dieters, the ingredient would be suitable for use in a variety of cold foods and drinks including yogurts, fruit shakes and smoothies, they said.

Presenting results from the company's first trial at a meeting of the American Chemical Society, Dr Carsten Huettermann said: "This ingredient would make people feel full after eating smaller amounts of food.
"With that sense of fullness and hunger-satisfaction, they would not crave more food. In our first study, we saw that fewer calories were consumed at the following meal after eating our new product."
The ingredient, known as SATISFIT-LTG, is a modified version of methyl cellulose, a food additive which has been used as a binding agent in ready meals, baked goods and other snack foods for 50 years.

Methyl cellulose is a white powder which dissolves in cold water and, when heated, turns into a gelatin-like material that holds ingredients together and gives foods a more desirable texture.

In its normal state, the ingredient passes through the stomach very quickly and does not make the person who has eaten it feel any less hungry.

But Dow Wolff, which manufactures methyl cellulose, claims it can be modified to form a gel at body temperature, meaning it remains in the stomach for longer and is absorbed by the small intestine.

Previous studies have shown that substances which turn into a gel when they reach the stomach or intestine can trigger the feeling of fullness, the scientists said.
The company announced it plans to carry out further trials based on its early-stage "proof-of-concept" experimen.

Dr Huettermann said: "Our next step now is to investigate in further studies the mechanism of action and whether this may have an impact on weight management."

The researchers wrote in a report of their trial: "Overweight and obesity are primarily driven by over-availability of food and an increasing sedentary lifestyle.

"It is believed that reduction of casual snacking between meals and reduction in meal size due to decreased appetite will have a major impact on prevention and reduction of obesity."

Emma Williams, a member of the Nutrition Society, said: "Although these findings are interesting and may have implications for obesity management, because this is a proof-of-concept study much more research is needed to understand the processes and mechanisms of action, as well as the implications for long-term weight reduction."

9 How to Sharpen Your Memory

Forgetting can be very embarrassing and a problem. But some times forget does not mean to make you become senile. Memory is formed from the association of two or more than 100 billion network of cells in your brain, called neurons, and strengthen the relationship so you can use it again later, according to Neal Barnard, an assistant professor of medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine, in Washington, DC

And "Your brain continues to develop and build new neurons to enhance memory as your age increases, a phenomenon called neuroplasticity," said Brianne Bettcher, a neuropsychologist at Univerty of California, San Francisco, Memory and Aging Center. "So there is no word too late to improve your memory. "That's nine ways this can be done. Ways will help you sharpen your memory and keep it strong from year to year.

1. Sleep longer
The experts agree that you do only one thing to improve your memory, is to sleep more. "Sleep is a key time for your brain to strengthen the relationship between neurons (nerve)," Barnard said. In a study published in the journal Sleep Medicine, the researchers asked the subjects to recall later if it displays a nap or stay awake. People who nap more tasks given that they show instead is maintained. The rules: sleep between 7-9 hours total per day. And, yes, naps are also calculated.

2. Exercising
Literally, cycling or running or swimming or doing cardio exercise for 20-30 minutes three times each week proved to help jog your memory better. Improve the performance of your heart to the brain blood flow, increase hipocampus (the most vital parts of the brain to remember), and increased secretion of fakor derived neurotrophic originating from the brain, a protein required for long-term memory. Also, cardiovascular exercises also can result in a new relationship to develop between neurons in the hipocampus, "said Peter J. Snyner, a professor of neurology at Brown University's Alpert Medical School.

3. Providing food and beverage support
Your brain can not function properly without the intake of essential nutrients. "Blueberries are the main sources of substances called 'anthocyanins', which increases the antioxidant for the brain," said Joy Baueur, a dietitian who lives in New York City and author of "The Joy Fit Club".

"Some studies show that anthocyanins protect the brain from inflammation and oxidation, both of which can damage neurons and neurons not effectively relate to each other." Bauer also recommend eating green leafy vegetables as often as possible. "Long-term studies show that people who ate spinach in large numbers, cabbage, and other green leafy vegetables reduces the risk of memory decline as it ages, as supported by the phytonutrien such as vitamin C," he said.

You may also want to enjoy an alcoholic drink with dinner. The study, published in The New England journal of Medicine proved that women who consume one drink per day were 20 percent more often than those who consume alcohol or heavy drinker will experience a decline in their cognitive function, including the ability to recall the topic of a paragraph who has read about 15 minutes earlier. The researchers believe this may be due to the consumption of alcohol is sufficient to increase the level of HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol) and increase the content of the blood flow to the brain.

4. Choosing a quality supplement
Forget the ginkgo biloba. Recent research has shown that herbal supplements do not have a positive effect on memory. However, the most popular supplement is capable of supporting the growth of new neurons and reduces substances that can inhibit cognitive function.

The default is fish oil supplements, according to Lori Daniello, an assistant professor of neurology (research) at Alpert Medical School. Fish oil is associated with a decreased risk of insanity because the oil contains DHA, an omega-3 fatty acids decrease the production of a block of memory in the brain and may be involved in the formation of new neurons, said Daniello.

Increase the consumption of fatty fish like salmon will be helpful, or you can take a daily supplement containing at least 180 milligrams of DHA. Vitamin D may also work well, because vitamin D stimulates the growth of new neurons and help to overcome the abnormal proteins associated with diseases that affect memory, such as madness, "said David J. LieweIIyn, an epidemiologist and public health researcher at the University of Exeter, UK.

5. Meditation
Meditation increases your concentration and focus, which is good for memory, "said Dharma Singh Khalsa, chief medical officer and president of the Alzheimer's Research & Prevention Foundation, in Tuscon. In addition, meditation is also shown to reduce stress, which can improve memory. "When we are stressed, our body and brain release hormones such as cortisol, adrenaline and CRH [corticotropin-releasing hormone], which in the short term can help us to escape or deal with dangerous situations," said Tallie Z.Baram, a professor of neurological sciences at the University of California, Irvine.

However, if you stress in a long time, these hormones alter the structure of hipocampus, nerve damage associated with blood flow. A study released last year, showed that subjects who meditate for 12 minutes once a day for eight weeks will increase their memory and increase blood flow around the brain used for the performance of the brain.

6. Doing something out of the ordinary
New experiences, such as taking a different route when leaving for work, also can improve your memory. "Our brains are always decided it important enough to be remembered and what should be removed from memory," says R. Douglas Field, a researcher in astronomy nerve National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. "If you're in love, your brain assumes it will be important information and store it in the brain."

Also, you will still remember something that happened suddenly after getting a new experience, he said. "The consolidation of short-term memory into long-term memory has been active, so keep to keep working." Which means that after a new experience, you may be better to remember what happened during the morning.

7. Check your medicine cabinet
Some drugs can affect the memory, said Barnard, including antihistamines, antidepressants, like Prozac, anxiety-reducing medication such as Xanax, and sleeping pills, such as Ambien. Each drug works by each in the brain. For example, Barnard said, "aseltikolin blocking antihistamine, brain transmitters needed for short-term memory.

While Xanax and Ambien damaging episodic memory, so whatever happens to you while taking these drugs may not be settled in your memory. "Do not use without consulting a doctor's prescription, but said the issue during a visit to the doctor again. A drug or other alternative treatments may be available. "

8. See a doctor
A very serious (but rare) can cause us to forget: thyroid disease and gluten sensitivity are not diagnosed. "If you have undiagnosed deviation sensitivity to gluten, a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye (kind of wheat), and you eat foods such as bread and biscuits, you will tertanggu memory," said Stefano Guandalini, chief medical officer of Celiac Disease Center at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital.

Many people describe the feeling as a "brain fog", caused a sensation blurred. Your doctor can find the deviation sensitivity, and improved diet can make the condition better. Thyroid disorders can disrupt memory. If you notice an increase in dementia, along with depression or changes in weight or your age, immediately went to the doctor. Treatment will make you a more controlled conditions.

9. Challenge yourself to remember
"We know that people who are cognitively active have a better memory as they age," said Michael Kahana, head of the Computational Memory Lab at the University of Pennsylvania and author of "Foundations of Human Memory". So how do you keep your brain in order to remain strong? "Keep in touch with your surroundings will strengthen the connections between neurons," said Bettcher.

"So do fun activities that make you think." Go to the museum once a month, learning the words in new languages, watching a documentary on a topic that lure you in, or doing crossword puzzles or sudoku. Another strategy: Create a challenge for yourself. For example, if you want to remember the new people you meet at an event, "imagine their faces and try to remember their names when I got home," said Henry L. Roediger III, a professor of psychology at Washington University in St. Louis.

The risk of schedule coffee

Tea and coffee should not be drunk at the time was eating, because it can reduce the ration of calcium that should be absorbed by the intestine, says clinical nutrition specialist from the Faculty of medicine, Dr. dr. Fiastuti Witjaksono, MSc. MS. Sp.GK.
"This is caused by the effects of caffeine contained in tea and coffee, so the body can not absorb a lot of calcium," says Fiastuti before giving exposure to the nutrition of fruit here on Thursday.
Caffeine in tea and coffee inhibit the absorption of calcium and minerals in the intestine, so the body does not get enough calcium that should draw the content of calcium in the diet, it is clear Fiastuti.
Fiastuti continue, this causes the calcium out more than it should be and are removed through the urine. "Ration for the body becomes less than it should be absorbed," he added.
Meanwhile, to compensate for the lost calcium, Fiastuti appealed to the intake of foods high in calcium continued to be consumed.
"Not only milk, but the fish, green vegetables, soybeans, tofu and tempeh, a calcium-rich food that is needed by the body, to maintain bone health," said Fiastuti.

The more Big Breasts, The Toxic

Ladies, glad you guys with large breast size? American researchers even warn that the bigger the breast, the higher the risk of breast cancer.

Typically, the size of a woman's breasts will get bigger with age appropriate. However, some women actually change bra cup size because of weight gain associated with an increased risk of breast cancer after menopause.

Larger breasts put women at a higher exposure to pollutants because the body stores toxic chemicals in the fatty tissue.

The larger the bra cup size, the greater the fat tissue to store toxic chemicals, like mercury and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).

Worse, many women are not aware of this. Researchers warn that these toxic chemicals stored in the breast tissue can be transferred to the child through breastfeeding.

"Breast-feeding proved to be a very efficient way to transfer waste to the next generation of industrial society. Breast us to absorb pollution and carrying the mistakes we have made," said William Florence, author of "Breasts: A Natural and Unnatural History", as reported by Medicaldaily (11/6).

Breast cancer not only threatens the mature aged women, but also the teenager daughters. Most of today's girls hit puberty much earlier than in the era of his mother. Puberitas early known as a risk factor for breast cancer.

Cut your calories and make a mint

According to a brand new survey of over 2000 adults carried out by Philips, the average Brit spends almost £900 a year on lunchtime sandwiches, wraps, crisps, chocolate bars and drinks and these typical, shop-bought packed lunches can contain close to 1000 calories (see below).
So while our midday meals are eating into our purses they are adding to our midriffs too.
The main reason cited by participants of the survey for buying lunch is that they don't have time to make their own.  Many said they also feel uninspired when thinking about what to make and lack the confidence to put together a healthier alternative.
Here are a few super simple, wallet and waistline friendly ideas to get you started:
1. Home-made soups and stews make a really nutritious, filling and healthy alternative to sandwiches and can be a great way to increase your fruit and veg intake.
Try cooking in bulk when you have a little more time and freezing individual servings.  Then, simply defrost a portion the night before you need it and either re-heat in the morning and take in a flask or pop it in the microwave at work.
2. Tinned and frozen foods can make throwing together a healthy packed lunch so much quicker and easier and can be every bit as nutritious as the fresh stuff.
Fruits tinned in natural juices or ready prepared frozen varieties require no peeling and chopping, are more economical and can be blended with a banana and some fruit juice to make a really filling, nutritious smoothie in seconds.  Half size cans of fruits make a great instant snack or dessert too.
Frozen vegetables such as soya beans, peas and sweet corn can be added to left over rice or pasta from the night before to make a super quick, super healthy lunch box salad.
Add some canned tuna for extra protein or some tinned salmon or smoked mackerel for extra, immune boosting, omega three fatty acids.  Tinned lentils or mixed beans can make a great instant base for a lunch box salad too and because of their high protein and fibre content they'll keep your feeling fuller for longer.
3. Keep the fat content of you sandwiches down by swapping the usual mayonnaise (which can contain over 200 Kcals per tablespoon) for chutneys or sauces such as cranberry, chilli or bbq (all contain less than 50 Kcals per tablespoon) instead.
Squash the fat content of your salads too by swapping oily dressings (up to 150 calories per serving) for a drizzle of good quality balsamic vinegar which is practically calorie free.
Another top tip is to add a squeeze of lemon juice to homemade salads. Lemon juice is a natural flavour enhancer, is full of vitamin C, helps keep foods fresher for longer and the acid in the juice helps to slow the rate of gastric emptying helping to keep you fuller for longer.
4. Over 90% of us don't eat enough whole grains so up your intake by switching to wholegrain breads, pitas and wraps.  They taste great, help to reduce the incidence of a whole range of lifestyle diseases and will really help to add some variety and interest to your sandwiches.
5. Alternatively, why not ditch the sandwiches in favour of a super healthy, homemade 'pot noodle to go' made from the contents of your fridge and freezer?
Simply fill a clip top preserving jar with some wok ready noodles.  (Most other types of noodles will work equally well but may just need to stand for a little longer before eating).
Then add some finely sliced spring onions, carrot, sweet corn, peas or some other vegetables you like and have to hand.  If you have some left over chicken, beef or ham you can add that or throw in a handful of frozen prawns instead.
Finally, add half a stock cube, crushed garlic and ginger and a splash of soy sauce and you're done.
Seal the pot, take to work then when you're ready to eat it simply pour over boiling water, let it stand for a couple of minutes and tuck in.  It really doesn't get tastier, fresher, healthier or cheaper than that!
6. Much of the calories and excess fat in a typical packed lunch lies in the addition of chocolate, crisps, cakes and biscuits so add in some healthier snacks instead such as wholegrain crackers, vegetable batons and reduced fat hummus, mixed nuts and seeds, semi-dried fruits, low fat yogurts, chicken drumsticks, celery sticks filled with a little reduced fat crème cheese or peanut butter, ripe, cherry tomatoes or some mini jam or lemon curd sandwiches made with wholegrain bread instead of cakes or biscuits.
7. Always opt for low fat yogurts then pep them up by adding some nuts, seeds or fresh or dried fruits.
8. Finally, watch out for all the hidden calories, sugar and caffeine that can be lurking in your drinks.  Fizzy and fruit flavoured drinks can be some of the worst culprits.  Opt instead for diluted fresh fruit juice (a 200ml serving of unsweetened juice will count as one portion of your "5 a day quota") or better still go for plain water.
*A typical, average packed lunch can contain over 1000 calories
Sandwich (450 Kcal)
Bag of crisps  (150 Kcals)
Small chocolate bar, cereal bar or biscuits  (200 Kcals)
Small pot of yogurt  (100 Kcals),
Soft drink (100 Kcals)
Piece of Fruit  (70 Kcals)
Total:  1,070 Kcals

Ways to Prevent Cervical Cancer

Early detection by Pap smear every two years will be able to prevent attacks that are categorized as malignant cervical cancer.
"The growth of abnormal cells become cancerous is quite long. Therefore, patients who managed to detect it early can perform various actions to address them," said Dr. Indrawati Dardiri, RS Premier Jatinegara Sp.OG of the Laity Seminar & Cervical Cancer Women's Reproductive Health in RS Premier Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Saturday (05/04/2012).
Data World Health Organization (WHO), cervical cancer ranks top among the various types of cancer that causes death in women in the world. Indonesia became the highest cervical cancer cases in the world.
"Every year more than 15,000 detected cases of cervical cancer in Indonesia, with about 8000 cases of which were fatal," he said.
The cause of most cervical cancers are caused by a virus major HPV (Human Papilloma Virus). This virus has more than 100 types of most of them are harmless and will disappear by itself.
Of the overall type, HPV 16 and 18 listed as a type of HPV virus is most dangerous. Another thing that can cause cervical cancer is abnormal cells on the cervix that could grow due to radiation exposure or contamination of chemicals that occur in a long time.
He added there is a relationship between smoking and increased risk of someone contracting cervical cancer, one study from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, published in the British Journal of Cancer 2001, proved that the substance Massage Shaper into the blood through the cigarette smoke can increase the likelihood of the condition of cervical neoplasia, or abnormal growth of cells in the uterus which is the initial development of cervical cancer.
Consumption of Dark Green and Yellow Vegetables

For women who do not have cervical cancer, preventive measures are prudent thing to do.
Some preventive measures such as by not having sex with men who often have multiple sexual partners, avoid sexual intercourse at an early age, health care, pap smears done regularly, and stop smoking.
Another thing you can do is increase the consumption of dark green vegetables and yellow that contain lots of beta carotene, vitamin C and E, as well as the HPV vaccine aimed at preventing and treatment of viral infections.
Not just a matter of cancer, reproductive health is essential for every woman in particular who have entered the age of sexual maturity.
"The reproductive organs of women, ranging from the vagina to the uterus, is the most vulnerable to be exposed to a wide range of health problems," he said.
Therefore, the female reproductive organs must be maintained and cared for properly.
"Impaired health of female reproductive organs caused by many factors, including unhealthy diet, hygiene factors, and genetic factors that can lead to," he explained.

Some Errors in the use of condoms

Condoms are 98 percent effective in preventing transmission of sexually transmitted diseases of pregnancy if used properly. However, unfortunately there are still many men who are still wrong to use condoms.
The team of researchers from The Kinsey Institute Condom Use Research Team (Curt) analyzed 50 articles that have been published from several media between 1995-2011.
The researchers also involves a variety of participants ranging from monogamous pairs to sex workers. Researchers are finding that condoms are often not used as a safety during sex.
The researchers highlighted a number of errors including the use of a sharp object to open a condom package, using a condom too late or too quickly during sex and difficulty of using condoms additional lubricant.
Late Use
Observation that approximately 17 to 51.1 percent of people reported to put a condom a while after sex activity performed. While 13.6 to 44.7 per cent said using condoms from start having sex.
Errors in usage
Researchers also found some errors when a man in putting a condom. Approximately 45.7 percent of men questioned the researchers admit they do not give room for the semen when using a condom. About a quarter of men reported to have unrolled the condom before installing it on the penis. While 4 to 30.4 percent of men reported condom off while still having sex.
Not thoroughly
Researchers also found that approximately 74.5 percent of men and 82.7 percent of women did not inspect the damage they buy condoms before using them. In fact, half the number of male and female participants admitted to not throw the air from the condom prior to use in their genitals.
Broken Condom
Condom ripped and leaking is a problem that is often experienced. Results showed that 0.8 to 4.7 per cent had experienced a condom to tear. While 13.1 to 19.3 per cent had experienced a leak.
Professor Crosby, as reported by Dailymail, Tuesday (28/2) says, need education and instruction on how to use condoms correctly, so that unwanted pregnancies and transmission of other infectious diseases can be minimized.

4 The Best Food for the Brain

Become an important part of the body, the brain is the center of allhuman activities. Therefore, the brain requires healthy food intake tomake it work optimally.

Here are some foods which are beneficial to brain health, as quotedBoldsky, Tuesday (28/2).

Vitamin B Complex

Vitamin B complex group consisted of eight different vitamins. Eat foods or a multivitamin containing vitamin B complex, which helpsimprove brain function. This vitamin helps the body convert choline, which is an amino acid found in food sources into acetylcholine, aneurotransmitter chemical that aids in memory and learning.Vitamin B complex found in a lot of potatoes, grains, broccoli, spinach, mushrooms, bananas, a variety of processed soybeanproducts, eggs and almonds.

Whole wheat

Whole grains like whole wheat bread, oatmeal, brown rice, andmillet are the main energy source of food for the body and brain. This diet works to increase blood flow to the brain, which meanssupport the quality and quantity of brain function. These grains also contain lots of vitamin B6, which is full of thiamine. Thiamine is great for anyone who seeks to improve memory.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids
